What is the name of top search engines?

Search engine is an online tool or program that is designed to carry out web searches. Using search engine, we can search over Word Wide Web in a systematic and quick way. It shows the results related to the keyword that we have typed in the search box. The search engine implements the many complex algorithms used for different purposes. There are many search engines such as Google, Bing, Yahoo!, etc. In this section, we are going to discuss about the world’s top search engines, their features, popularity, and performance.

Search engine has become the very important part of every person’s life and it is also a very important part of the internet. It helps us to search the data that we want to get from the Internet. If we want to do any kind of search over the internet then we will automatically switch ourselves to the search engine and we will search our query on it.

We track our search traffic at Inspire using a range of analytics. Some of our returned questions are linked to what we’re doing and others are just bizarre. The services that we are interested in are relevant to what we do, such as improving search results, web design, web growth, and many more.

Since we use “all routes to the market,” we are still heavily dependent on our bread & butter traffic search engines.

Now here is a list of the most widely used search engines around the globe that different peoples use for different purpose. Although every search engine has a specific purpose of searching the content on the web but a few have some speciality in that also.

Here is a list of some of the most famous search engines around the globe:

1. Google

Google is the most efficient and fastest working search engine in the world. Google has gained nearly 70 per cent of the search engine market. Google constantly works on developing new strategies to strengthen the algorithm of the search engine that can provide the end-user the best performance indeed.

The order of search results returned by Google is based on the PageRank priority rank method. Google Search also offers several different personalised search choices, using symbols to include, exclude, define or enable certain search habits, and provides advanced interactive experiences, such as flight status and monitoring of packages, weather forecasts, translations of currencies, units and times, word definitions, and more.

The Google’s main search is based on the images or the data found in the database or the text that is publicly available and is offered by the servers. “In June 2011, to search for spoken, rather than written, words, Google launched” Google Voice Search.

2. Bing

Bing is the response to Google from Microsoft and it was released in 2009. The Bing search engine is the by default search engine in the Microsoft browser. The Microsoft still tries to beat the Google search engine by Bing search engine but for that it still has to cover very long way. This is a perfect forum for businesses to upload their data to maximise their search results. Bing has launched Places. Places is a web mapping service the same as Google Maps.

3. Yahoo

In order to beat there competing Google, the Yahoo and Bing are competing with each other. Yahoo has a market share of 7.68 percent, according to a new study on netmarketshare.com. While a pioneer as a free email provider, with their recent acknowledgment that User Information & Passwords were compromised last year, this is decreasing significantly.

4. Baidu

Baidu search engine was founded in January 2000 by a Chinese entrepreneur Eric Xu. Baidu search engine is the only search engine that is mostly used in china. This web search is designed to provide results for photos, audio files and websites. The Baidu offers its users some other prominent services that includes maps, news, cloud storage etc.

5. AOL

Aol.com ranks among the top search engines as well. They now have a 0.59 percent market share, once the pre-eminent player. Verizon Communication, for $4.4 billion, purchased AOL. It was started as Control Video Corporation back in 1983.

6. Ask.com

Ask.com, formerly known as Ask Jeeves, was founded in 1995. Its goal was to provide search results based on a basic web format of query + response. The findings would not be as recent as those in Google, Bing and Yahoo because of this focus on archived and active user contributions. They have tried to counter where their tools may not have the response from a third-party search engine that they obtain support. Curiously, they don’t name who it is.

Conclusion

Google’s rivals include China’s Baidu and Soso.com; South Korea’s naver.com and daum.net; Russia’s Yandex; the Czech Republic’s Seznam.cz; France’s qwant; Japan, Taiwan and the US’s Yahoo; and Bing and DuckDuckGo. Some smaller search engines provide features that Google does not have, such as not storing any private information or tracking information. But in the last Google is the most popular among all of the Search engines and it provides us the best speed and it comes up with a package of a lot of exiting features. It also provides us a lot of its services for free but as we know nothing in this world is free so we will discuss about it in another tutorial, so Google is termed to best among all.
