TBH: To Be Honest

TBH stands for “To Be Honest”. It is an internet slang and very commonly that you have heard the TBH acronym or hashtag over internet on social networking sites like facebook, instagram, twitter, youtube etc.

This acronym is very popularly used on facebook, chatting and messaging online. It is generally used as a hashtag when the users post their honest thoughts or opinion on a subject. It is used to save time. For example: Writing “tbh” is much simpler and time saving than writing “to be honest”.

Let’s take some example to explain it well:

Ex 1: “TBH, I don’t think that red is an appropriate color for your bike, a shiny black would look great”.

Ex 2: “I hate roses TBH. Instead, I would like to prefer chocolates”.

Note: Another hashtag/acronym “TTYT” is used in place of TBH. It means ?To Tell You the Truth?. This hashtag is used before giving the honest opinion on a subject. It is the same thing as “TBH”.
