This is another system on a chip designed by Apple. It is a 64 bit six-core CPU that implements ARMv8.4-A ISA. It has 2 high-performance cores called Lightning and four energy-efficient cores called Thunder running at the speed of 2.5 GHz. AMX blocks the machine learning accelerator of Lightning cores is 6 times faster at matrix multiplication than the vortex cores of Apple A12 and gives one trillion single-precision operations per second. Qualcomm’s CPU has reached the highest clock speed in the world of mobiles as its prime core runs at 3.2Ghz. This processor has used Kryo 585 cores that are based on ARM’s Cortex A77.
