C++ Math sin()

The function is used to find the sine of an angle given in radian.

Syntax

Consider a radian ‘x’. Syntax would be:

Note: If the value passed is an integer type, then it is cast to double.

Parameter

x: The value specified in terms of radian.

Return value

It returns the sine of an angle given in radian in the range[-1,1].

Example 1

Let’s see a simple example when the value of x is positive.

Output:

Sine of an angle is : 0.86576     

In this example, sin() function calculates the sine of an angle when the degree is equal to 60.

Example 2

Let’s see a simple example when the value of x is negative.

Output:

Sine of an angle is : -0.76576   

In his example, sin() function finds the sine of an angle when the value of degree is negative i.e -50.
