Turn off Google Assistant in Google Home Smart Devices

Using the device mute button, you can effectively stop them from listening to the wake word “Ok Google,” and it disables the Google Assistant. If you later want to talk with a Smart Home device, you will need to unmute it first.
There is also a temporary way to turn off voice assistants on a Smart Home device. On the Google Home app, tap on the Home and select a device. Click on the Settings > Digital Wellbeing > New Schedule and then select a device. Now you can create a schedule for when Downtime should be active.
